![]() First a quick moment to thank everyone who either commented on the blog directly, via email or in person, voicing their support for the DaninOttawa.com blog– in fact I was very surprised when in Calgary last November to be approached in person by a supporter of the blog who also asked a Parliament related question I will follow up on in a future post. While the response to all the feedback and questions I have received is seriously overdue, I wanted to take time over the holidays to think about what my approach would be in 2014. The brief summary of the feedback I heard from citizens was all in support of the blog remaining – there were no dissenting views on this particular point. I also received some constructive suggestions for other areas of social media. For example, I have heard repeated suggestions to merge this independent blog- www.daninottawa.com into my regular website www.danalbas.com. It makes sense to have all of my MP reports, blog posts and statements on one central site, having multiple sites makes it more difficult for constituents to keep tabs on their Member of Parliament. It also makes it easier as I will be dealing with one interface; due to all my travel and different brands of phone, tablet and multiple Parliamentary computers and the occasional public internet access computer, I have found it more difficult to be able to upload my pictures, video and posts on the wordpress format. Merging the blog, I expect will make it easier to upload new content on the fly. So from this point on, if you are interested in viewing future blog posts, you will have to go to the blog section on the www.danalbas.com site to access them. My favourite ( and I hope your favourite) part is that you can continue to share with me your thoughts through the comment function at the end of each post. My experience has shown me that some of the best ideas I have received since joining public office often arises from local citizens That is all for this afternoon’s post and thanks again for the comments, suggestions and support for the blog.
