During the study of Bill C-311 at the Standing Committee on Finance, there were a number of points raised during the testimony of industry experts, and subsequently a lot of commentary in the media since the completion of the review of the bill. While the proposed amendment in Bill C-311 to the 1928 prohibition era "Importation of Intoxicating Liquors Act" is a relatively minor one, it certainly has created a lot of discussion about what effects this private member's bill might have.
