One of the things I am looking forward to sharing about my riding with my colleagues in Ottawa is the fact that there is a working steam locomotive still running the tracks in the hills near Summerland. I just got back from Ottawa late Saturday and had a chance over the past few days to catch up on a few events within the riding. One of the events was a trip aboard the legendary Kettle Valley Railway, a unique historical attraction located in Summerland. Not only does this railway pay tribute to the legacy of the KVR Railway in the Okanagan, it also brings together citizens from all age groups to learn and share in the enjoyment of our past. This is also a volunteer run railway that operates on a non profit basis and does a great job keeping the train on time! If you are in the Okanagan, do not forget to visit the historic Kettle Valley Railway steam railway- www.kettlevalleyrail.org Click below to see it for yourself!
