Free The Beer!

This morning I delivered a press conference in the House of Commons to urge the Liberals to bring the New Brunswick beer case to the Supreme Court of Canada. We need to test if the limits on inter-provincial alcohol sales are constitutional.

"This is not only important in having the potential to free the beer for Canadians, but more importantly has the potential to open our internal economy for Canadian producers. People want to buy Canadian and it should not be easier for a winery in B.C. to sell directly to Asia than to Ontario, as is the case today."

My Private Member's Bill back in 2012 freed the grapes when it lifted the federal regulations against interprovincial wine sales, and so now we must ‪#‎FreeTheBeer‬
