Dan's Small Business Platform

City Hall can do a lot to encourage small business. When elected, I will work hard to keep Penticton Business working, starting with:

• Establish an independent blue ribbon panel within 90 days to audit and report on the city’s financial status. ESTABLISHED- Fiscal Review Board
• Within 90 days create a red tape roundtable forum and invite the business community and city staff to participate and submit recommendations. ESTABLISHED- Development Services Meeting March 7, 2009
• Work with city staff and the Downtown Penticton Association to ensure that we have strong anti- panhandling bylaws that are enforced. ESTABLISHED- Council to receive new draft bylaw by May 4, 2009
