How much was the bonus paid to the former Canadian Infrastructure Bank CEO?
During a recent Finance Committee meeting, officials from the Canadian Infrastructure Bank were present to testify on their activities. This is a bank that has been given 35 billion in tax payer money to spend over 10 years. Since the Liberal Government established them 3 years ago, they have gone through one CEO and President. It has come to light that this former CEO was paid a substantial bonus AFTER he had already left.
Conservative Finance Committee members asked the Chief Financial Officer how much this bonus was.
She refused to answer, citing confidentiality.
What do you think? Should the Liberal Government be transparent with Canadians on how much is paid in bonuses to current and former Canadian Infrastructure Bank employees?
